He reminds us that membership renewal time is here again. Annual Dues are $10 and can be maiiled to Henry at 540 Doat St. Buffalo, NY 14211 ************* Many post-polio people function with major postural abnormali- ties caused by uasing stronger muscles to compensate for the weaker ones. This not only causes greater stress on the stronger muscles but puts excessive force on the skeletal structure resulting in overstretched ligaments and joint changes accom- panied by fatigue and pain. Our guest speaker for November will be Dr. Thomas Lyons of Amherst Chiropractic, who will discuss this aspect of the late effects of polio and what might be done about it. ************** Maxine Colis-Smith of Chapter and Verse Poetry Group advises us that on SATURDAY, NOV 11 they will have a luncheon in memory of Joan Curley, who was an active memvber of their group, as well as of ours. Reservations not requires. ************** We are pleased to report that Terry Bouquin is recouperating after a long illness. She is still in the hospital and not ready for visitors of calls.
