Our MARCH meeting will be at St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Union and Maryvale on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 7:15 p.m.. We are pleased to announce that our guest speaker will be Karen Bunce, a speech and hearing pathologist at the Kaleida Health Services. If you are wondering why a polio survivors support group would be interested in speech or hearing issues, the answer is that they probably wouldn't. But specialists in that field are the professional experts who treat swallowing problems, and that can be a serious threat to the health of polio survivors, some of whom may nor realize they have swallowing problems.
 
Come to the meeting and learn how to recognize that you may have swallowing problems and what can do to protect yourself.

We also will have refreshments and time to share ideas and experiences.
